CobaltSkies Terms of Service
1. General Terms
- I do not work with clients under the age of 18, by commissioning me you agree that you are 18 or older.
- I reserve the right to decline any commission for any reason.
- Clients are expected to be polite and courteous during the commission process. Overly aggressive or demanding behavior will result in your commission being dropped and the client blacklisted.
- Clients are expected to have a clear visual reference of some kind (no character descriptions).
- WIP shots are only given if requested, within reason.
- Prices are subject to change based on complexity, demand, and additional details.
- I do not work with due dates or deadlines.
- Work has a 3 month or longer turn around time, in the chance a piece will take longer I will update clients.
2. Usage
- I reserve the right to use commissioned artwork in both a profit and nonprofit manner (ie prints, art books, physical merch, ect).
- I reserve the right to use commissioned artwork to post to my socials and advertise my work as I see fit.
- Client may use the commissioned piece for personal usage only (ie wallpaper/avatar/banners, personal prints, ect).
- Clients may not use the commissioned artwork in a for profit manner.
- Clients are expected to give proper credit to my work if reposted to social media or gallery sites.
- Clients may not use my work in any form of AI training, NFT, or cryptocurrency schemes.
3. Payments and Refunds
- Payment can be made through Ko-Fi only.
- Work will not begin until payment is received.
- Payments are charged in USD ($). It is on the client to make sure that proper currency conversions are made, I will not make up for any errors on clients or payment processors behalf.
- I do not accept refund requests once work has started in any capacity.
- I will only refund work upon my own decision to drop the work for any reason, depending on completion level (you will not receive a full refund unless work has not been started at all).
- False chargebacks will result in an indefinite blacklist from getting future work from me.
4. Custom Designs, YCHs and Adoptables
- Clients purchasing a YCH are buying the pose as is, without additional adjustments unless discussed beforehand.
- Clients purchasing an adoptable design from me may use the character in any nonprofit way they choose to, I will not "revoke" character designs for any reason.
- Clients purchasing a custom design from me must have a detailed description or reference, including:
[Species, color, sex/gender, general design details & vibe. Photos & moodboards are welcome and encouraged for this].
- Clients may use additional character references as an inspiration for custom character designs. I will not copy or outright plagiarize others designs in any capacity.
- Clients may use custom character designs for any nonprofit use they wish to.
- If the client chooses to sell the character in the future (ie adoptables or customs) that is fine. Do not exceed the worth of the design itself plus any additional art it has received (aka don't buy just to upcharge the design to other people).
Will Do:
- Furries and Animal Characters (feral & anthro)
- Monsters and Cryptids
- Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Species
- Gore and Body Horror
- Artistic Nudity
- Simple Pin Ups and Lightly Suggestive ArtworkWon't Do:
- Explicit Sex/NSFW artwork
- Mech and Heavy Tech
- Complicated Architecture
- Hate Speech and Bigotry
- Suggestive or Nude Artwork of -18 Characters
- Certain transgressive and taboo subject matter (please inquire for specification)
- Culturally Appropriative Work (ie Elk Men & closed native mythological figures)
EXAMPLE WORK AND PRICES
Basic Illustration - $85
Colored and lightly rendered illustrations of the specified character. Varies in size, pose, and crop depending on what would look best for the piece. Basic gradient backdrop or basic background.
Full Illustration - $300
Fully colored and rendered illustrations of the specified character with a background. Varies in size, pose, and crop depending on what would look best for the piece.
Chibi Illustration- $45
Simple, chibi illustrations of the specified character. Varies in size, pose, and crop depending on what would look best for the piece.
Custom Designs - $50~
Custom character illustrations based on the clients wants, ranges in price widely depending on what is requested, and will vary in appearance a lot. Starts at $50 minimum for a basic character design.
